Some of you may not be to familiar with us so you might want to read our History. If not keep updated on the news and browse through this years players. October 3rd 2003 - The Penguins had an amazing summer and we have been off to a succesfull start school year. The anticipation is building and practices begin in a mere 4 weeks. Can you believe it!? I have some juicy confirmations to make to all you guys ...from the plain dealer..."It's official. In a historic day in sports the and some dynamic work by the front office the Thunderin' Penguins have secured 03'-04' contracts for Bill Preston, Graham Chapman, Ross Williams & Carlo Melaragno. These established CYO superstars give not only size but also and arsenal of abilitiesto add to the cache of weapons already present in the Igloo" It is still unknown how the Penguins were able to fit such superstarts under their already high payed, very talented roster. Either way the Penguins pulled it off and are still under the salary cap. Stay tuned for later news from around the Penguin office.
December 15th 2003- The Penguins officially held their first practice on monday Dec. 15th at 9:00 at St. Helens Gym. The Penguins are staying very dedicated and show a will to win, even if it means practicing late on school nights. The first practice went rather well. The Penguins came in with a must win attitude and hustled throughout the whole practice. They all play very physical and showed much potential. Although their shooting was a little rusty, they showed that they were in shape and ready to run the floors with all the competition. The new rectruits got to showed their skills and what they had. Bob Fioritto Sr., when asked how he felt practice went, stated, "With the Penguin team this year, what you see is what you get. This was a grueling practice, that showed signs of winners. We had some early roster issues and hold outs, and I'm just glad to get finally get things rollin here with the Penguins Orginization. I'll take these 10 fine men and create champions out of them."
February 8th, 2004- Your 2004 Thunderin' Penguins defeated rival St. Clair Clementines 46-25. This win over the Clementines clinches a guaranteed spot for them into the 2004 CYO playoffs. This is a huge step for the Penguins as they look to head far into the playoffs coming up in a couple of weeks. This huge win over the Clementines silenced the critics and all the skeptics. All the bragging rights now on and for ever will be held by the Penguins.

In the News
We recently caught up with Bobby Fioritto after a open gym and asked him to comment, this is what he gave us....."We are very optimistic as 03' - 04' season rolls around. With brand new faces and an anything goes attitude, we look to go deep into the playoffs. We are staying true to the penguins heart with the 3 founders of the team,(see Fioritto, Simon, Orovets,) but all look towards the future with the hiring of John "the computer nerd" Simon to harness the penguin mentality an assist the playoff seasoned Bob Fioritto Sr. Together they will work as one. As the new season approaches, the penguins gear-up not only to stay focused, and not let the critics get under our skin, but to give it all we got this year. Hard work and dedication is our style and we continue to stay that way through out this new school year."
Bob was then asked if he had anything else,he replied, "I just wanna say this to the penguins: Men, there comes a time in our life when we asks ourselves: HOW DO I WANT TO BE REMEBERED? For us that time is NOW!...PLAY LIKE CHAMPIONS....Play with champions mind, spirit, and heart. OWN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, MEN! OWN IT!! CLAIM IT!! LIVE IT, LOVE It,AND BE IT!!.......I'lll see you at the top.....GO PENGUINS!!"...Fioritto then got up and went back in the gym.-Tom Simon, syndicated press
